The short version: a full-time Filipino virtual assistant usually costs a few hundred to about fifteen hundred US dollars a month, depending on experience and skills. Below are the 2026 ranges, our own data on what VAs ask for and what employers on WorkBase PH budget, and the extra costs most guides leave out.
Quick answer: In 2026, a full-time Filipino general virtual assistant costs about $300–$1,200 a month (USD), or roughly $1.90–$7.50 an hour. An executive or technical VA costs about $1,000–$1,500 a month, and part-time usually runs 50–60% of the full-time rate. On hourly terms, 75% of VA-skilled specialists on WorkBase PH ask $5–$12 an hour, and hourly job posts on WorkBase PH budget a median of $6.50 an hour. On top of pay, budget for a 13th-month bonus, payment transfer fees and how you hire: from $0 for a Facebook group, to $29 one-time per job post on WorkBase PH, to $69–$99 a month on OnlineJobs.ph.
These are typical full-time rates (about 40 hours a week) for a general Filipino VA working for an overseas employer. They match the rates on our hire a Filipino virtual assistant page and our salary guide.
| Experience | Full-time / month | Hourly equivalent | Part-time / month (about 20 hrs/week) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Entry-level (0–2 years) | $300 – $500 | $1.90 – $3.10/hr | $150 – $300 |
| Mid-level (2–5 years) | $500 – $800 | $3.10 – $5.00/hr | $250 – $480 |
| Senior / specialized (5+ years) | $800 – $1,200 | $5.00 – $7.50/hr | $400 – $720 |
| Executive / technical VA | $1,000 – $1,500 | $6.25 – $9.40/hr | $500 – $900 |
Hourly equivalents assume about 160 working hours a month. Part-time figures use 50–60% of the full-time rate, because part-time work usually costs a little more per hour.
“Virtual assistant” covers a lot of jobs. Specialized roles cost more than general admin support:
| Role | Typical full-time range / month |
|---|---|
| General virtual assistant | $300 – $1,200 |
| Executive assistant | $500 – $1,600 |
| Customer support | $400 – $1,300 |
| Bookkeeper | $400 – $1,400 |
| Social media manager | $300 – $1,800 |

Published ranges tell you what the market pays. We can add two numbers almost nobody else publishes: what Filipino specialists ask for when they join, and what employers actually put in their job posts.
When a specialist joins WorkBase PH, they pick an expected hourly rate. Of the 313 specialists with virtual-assistant or admin skills who picked one (May 1 – October 10, 2026):
| Expected rate | Share of VA-skilled specialists |
|---|---|
| Under $5/hr | 2% |
| $5 – $12/hr | 75% |
| $13 – $25/hr | 18% |
| $26+/hr | 2% |
| Fixed-price projects only | 3% |
Experience matters, but later than you might expect. Across all 392 specialists who picked a rate, 12–14% of entry, junior and mid-level specialists ask $13–$25 an hour. That rises to 26% at senior level and 53% at lead level.
We also looked at the 22 hourly job posts employers published on WorkBase PH between July 2 and October 6, 2026, using the middle of each post’s pay range:
Why hourly asks look higher than monthly salaries. A full-time monthly salary buys steady, guaranteed hours, so it usually works out lower per hour than part-time or project work. A VA who asks $6 an hour for part-time work may accept $700–$900 a month for a stable full-time role. Agree on the hours, the pay period and the currency in writing.
How we measured this: specialist profiles on WorkBase PH that picked an expected hourly rate at signup (May 1 – October 10, 2026). These are the rates specialists asked for, not what they were paid. Until September 30, 2026, the lowest option on our signup form was $5–$12 an hour, so the “under $5” share is understated. “VA-skilled” means the specialist picked Virtual Assistance, Administrative Support, Calendar Management, Email Management or Document Management; most specialists pick several skills. Job-post figures use the 22 published hourly posts with a pay range from real employers (test and sample posts excluded); it is a small sample, so treat it as a snapshot. Percentages are rounded. Aggregates only; no individual data is shown. You may cite this data with a link to this page.
